Las Tintoreras Tour
Tintoreras Iselt is located a short 10 minutes boat ride from the port of Puerto Villamil. It’s name “Tinotreras” is derived from a volcanic crack that has formed channels around the islet that have become the favorite place of the White-Tipped Sharks (in Spanish: Tintoreras). Also sea lions, Marine Iguanas, Blue-Footed Boobies, Sally Lightfoot Crabs, sea turtles, pelicans and the rare Galapagos Penguins can be found on this tour.
After a hike around the small islet, you get back on the boat and cool off while snorkeling in the nearby water next to White-Tipped Sharks, sea lions, Sting Rays, colorful reef fishes, starfishes, and sea urchins.
The islets proximity to the coast also makes it possible to do this tour as a kayak tour or with a paddleboard and is perfect for guests who suffer from seasickness on longer boat rides.
