Cousins Rocks
A hidden gem that few experienced and well-informed divers ask for directly, it is highly appreciated by dive guides and dive cruises alike for its rich marine life. In addition to whitetip sharks, Galapagos sharks, green turtles, different species of rays (manta rays in the cold season), and sea lions, it is particularly the macro life such as seahorses, and reef fish that makes this dive site so special. It is located 1.5 hours from Itabaca Channel (15 minutes from Bartolome).

Location
Cousins Rock is located 1.5 hours from Itabaca Channel (15 minutes from Bartolome). This rock is a tuff cone separated from Santiago Island and has a collapsed crater shape of which only a part of it can be seen on the surface.
Cousin Rocks
Dive conditions
Cousins Rock has light to moderate currents, making it suitable for divers of all experience levels. At the beginning of the dive there is a shallow platform where you can play with sea lions.
At the end of the platform is an underwater reef with a wall where turtles and white tip sharks rest, and black coral and seahorses live in the niches. If you love macro life, this is the dive site for you.
Here you can find one of the most colorful topographies with a variety of gorgonians, sponges and tunicates. Pelagic species can be seen at the end of the reef.
