Scuba Iguana Internship

Scuba Iguana offers the opportunity to make an exchange for all divers interested in discovering the incredible underwater world of Galapagos, with the best professionals and in the dive resort with more years of experience in the Islands!

Types of Internships

You must be a certified as Open Water Diver or equivalent.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO

  • 5 days in the office

You will perform various activities such as:

  • learn to fill the tanks
  • maintenance and equipment washing
  • customer service
  • provide information about the activities of the diving operation
  • assistance among others.
  • etc

Office hours: 9:00-12:00 and 14:30-18:30 – The schedules are subject to a need of the Divecenter.

WHAT SCUBA IGUANA OFFERS TO THE INTERSHIP

  • 1 complete diving course (check the advanced open water course)
  • after the course 2 days of diving per week

(*2 dives are made in each diving trip, depending on the availability of the boat and the performance of the participant, diving trips can be added to the program).

  • 2 day off per week.
  • Course manuals and PADI certification, complete diving equipment, snacks, food on board on diving days.
  • Does not include meals, lodging, mobility, or entrance fees to the national park.

You must be a certified as Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO

  • 6 days of practices

You will perform various activities such as customer service; testing, maintenance, equipment washing and administrative assistance among others.

Office hours: 9:30-12:30 and 14:30-18:30 – The schedules are subject to a need of the Divecenter.

WHAT SCUBA IGUANA OFFERS TO THE INTERSHIP

  • 1 course diving outings
  • 2 days of course pool
  • 8 fun dive day in 6 weeks – (*2 dives are made in each diving trip, depending on the availability of the boat and the performance of the participant, diving trips can be added to the program).
  • 1 day off per week.
  • Course manuals and PADI certification, complete diving equipment, snacks, food on board on diving days.
  • Does not include meals, lodging, mobility, or entrance fees to the national park.

You must be a certified PADI Rescue Diver or equivalent.

You must have been trained in Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (or equivalent) within the past 2 years.

You need to stay for 8 weeks.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO

  • 6 days of practices

You will perform various activities such as customer service; testing, maintenance, equipment washing and administrative assistance among others.

Office hours: 9:30-12:30 and 14:30-18:30 – The schedules are subject to a need of the Divecenter.

  • 10 course dives days
  • 3 days of course pool
  • 5 fun diving trips, (*2 dives are made in each diving trip, depending on the availability of the boat and the performance of the participant, diving trips can be added to the program).
  • 1 day off per week.
  • Course manuals and PADI certification, complete diving equipment, snacks, food on board on diving days.
  • Does not include meals, lodging, mobility, or entrance fees to the national park.
